Dynamics 365 Business Central - Create Warehouse Picks

In this video, we will show you how to create picks in Dynamics 365 Business Central. There are two ways to create picks: directly from a warehouse shipment document or by using the pick worksheet.

To create a pick directly from a warehouse shipment document, use the search bar to navigate to the ‘Warehouse Shipments’ list and open the shipment you wish create picks for. Select the ‘Create Pick’ button. This will open an options window for you to enter behaviour for the created pick. Click ‘OK’ and the system will create a pick for all lines on the warehouse shipment, where stock exists in a pick bin.

The second option for creating picks is via the pick worksheet. Use the search bar to navigate to the pick worksheet.

Select the ‘Get Warehouse Documents’ action to display a list of available shipments. Select the shipment or shipments you wish to pick and click ‘OK’. This will populate the lines from the shipment in the pick worksheet. Select the ‘Create Pick’ button to create picks for all lines in the worksheet. This will open an option window for you to determine how you want picks created, for example, one pick per zone as well as the behaviour for the created picks, for example, if they are assigned to a user.

A pick or picks will be created for all lines on the worksheet where there is available stock in a pick bin.
