Dynamics 365 Business Central - Create Warehouse Put-aways
In this video, we will show you how to create put-away documents using the put-away worksheet in Dynamics 365 Business Central. Depending on your location setup, a put-away may have been created automatically as a result of posting the warehouse receipt. If the ‘Use Put-away Worksheet’ option is selected on the location card, then the put-away will not have been created automatically.
Learn how to create warehouse put-aways for all of the lines in a worksheet
If using the put-away worksheet, you will use this to select the warehouse receipts you wish to put away. To do this, navigate to the search icon, enter ‘Put-away Worksheets’ and choose the related link. Go to ‘Actions’, ‘Functions’ and select ‘Get Warehouse Documents’. In the window that opens you can select the receipt or receipts you wish to put-away. Click ‘OK’ and this will pull through the information from the receipts into the worksheet. This can be amended if required.
To create the put-away, select the ‘Create Put-away’ button. A new window will open where you can set behaviour for the created put-away, then click ‘OK’. The system will create a single put-away document for all of the lines in the worksheet. Where the system rules allow, the put-away place bin will be suggested by the system. If the system cannot determine where to place the stock, then no bin will be suggested.
