Learn how to create a sales credit memo

In Dynamics NAV, you can create a Sales Credit Memo by selecting ‘Selling’ and then ‘Sales Credit Memo’ from the menu. Click ‘New’ on the ribbon and enter the customer the Sales Credit Memo is for. To register the item the Sales Credit Memo is for, select ‘Get Posted Document Lines to Reverse’ from the ‘Action’ tab. From this window, you can select the item or items you are creating a Credit Memo for. Search for the items you are returning and then click ‘OK’.

Dynamics NAV automatically populates the lines fields with the credited items. You can adjust the quantity if needed. You can preview the documents by clicking ‘Test Report’ from the ‘Actions’ tab on the ribbon and clicking ‘Preview’. Once happy with the Sales Credit memo, press ‘Post’ from the ribbon to confirm the transaction has been processed. A pop up will appear confirming that the Credit Memo has been posted and it will also ask you if you would like to open the Posted Credit Memo. Click ‘Yes’ and you will see the Posted Sales Credit Memo you have just created.
