In this Knowledge Session, we discuss HMRC’s Making Tax Digital initiative, the reasoning behind the digitalisation of the way they collect VAT and their aim. We firstly look at the requirements that HMRC are asking of businesses and what criteria you need to fill.
There will be a fair chunk of defining, i.e. what they mean by a ‘digital link’ and how they expect you to tick every box on the way to compliance. We also run through the timeline from April 2018 through to the end of the soft-landing period and what that means for businesses at different stages of their compliance.
After defining and explaining what businesses need to do to comply, we will show you how it is possible. We have solutions to fit every need, varying from our very own Excel Bridge to transfer data out of Excel over to HMRC to a cumulative update from Microsoft.
