Dynamics NAV - Introduction to Warehousing

In this session, we take a look at the warehousing functionality in Dynamics NAV. We will guide you through some of the set up and choices when setting up your warehouse and discuss the warehouse processing activity such as creating bins.

Using the standard role centre for shipping and receiving within the warehouse management system in standard Dynamics NAV, we start with creating locations (or warehouses, as Dynamics NAV sees them) and determining what inbound and outbound settings we require for each location.

We then proceed to a run through of warehouse location cards and describe the process of setting up the warehouse in detail. This includes creating an identifying code, setting an address, describing requirements for picking and put away. We also cover warehouse put-aways, templates, bin contents lists, movement worksheets and more.
